Unite is a new terrestrial high-capacity cable system linking our Asia Connect Cable System in Darwin, with Adelaide, Australia (Stage 1) with future connections to Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney.  System design has been completed and a major national constructor engaged. Stage 1 is scheduled to commence construction in 2022.

This new system will provide the lowest latency path for customers in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin into Indonesia, Dili and Singapore, all provided on a unified optical platform across the terrestrial and subsea cable systems with SDN.

The Darwin to Adelaide segment includes local fibre loops in Darwin and also Adelaide.

UNITE Cable System

The network is designed to support a minimum of 40×400 Gigabit/sec wavelengths per fibre pair.

Our services provide customers with DWDM offtake capacity in the major centres listed. Ethernet services are designed for offtake across the 36 sites on the network including our international sites.

Stage 2 – Connections from Adelaide to Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide to Melbourne are scheduled to commence construction in 2023.
