Inligo Networks is delighted to announce the appointment of David Robertson to our Global Advisory Board.
David Robertson joins Inligo following a successful career as an Executive in Telstra’s International division. During his time at Telstra, David was Telstra’s Representative on the Boards of Southern Cross Cable Network and REACH, both companies having extensive subsea cable network assets.
David’s career spans over 35 years in the IT & Telecommunications industry in Australia and across the Globe for Telstra. His career initially commenced in the operational side of the business before leading the various sections of the engineering & IT organisations. He has driven engineering innovation programs in key emerging areas within the Subsea Cables, Optical, IP/Ethernet, Security, Programmable Networks, Software Defined Networks and Network & IT Automation. A deep technical thinker with a strong ability to relate to technical engineers and the challenges they are facing while always looking at alternative ways to work to the desire outcome.
In his role as leading all Engineering and IT for Telstra International, David drove the global business to meet the unprecedented capacity demands, geo-political challenges and regulatory changes across Telstra International infrastructure during a period of reducing capex and opex expenditure. His style of strategically working with the industry lead to many innovations across the business that shifted the needle on how Telstra engineered and operated Internationally.
